Lawson E. Williams, 73

MARION STATION - Lawson E. Williams, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, in McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield. He was 73. Born in Crisfield on Dec. 30, 1934, he was a son of the late Emmett Joseph and Phoebe Emily Maddox Williams. A member of Quindocqua United Methodist Church in Marion Station, he served in the U.S. Army National Guard Company L, 29th Division, formerly based in Crisfield. He was a farmer for 45 years, which he truly loved. He is survived by a brother, Edwin B. "Benny" Williams and his wife Thelma of Princess Anne; a sister, Terri Hinman and her fiancé John Green of Crisfield; his special friends and caregivers, Alan Butler and Marcia Johnson, both of Marion Station; three nieces; two nephews; and many cousins. Cremation followed his death, and there are no formal services planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be sent to Quindocqua U. M. Church, c/o Larry Powell, P.O. Box 1, Marion Station, MD 21838; or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Maryland Chapter, 11350 McCormick Road, Executive Plaza III, Suite 100, Hunt Valley, MD 21031. Arrangements are in the care of Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield.
