SALISBURY - Laura Anna Jones of Salisbury, died Saturday, June 18, 2016, surrounded by her family. Born in Pittsville, she was the daughter of the late William and Flora Bratten. She is survived by her children, Karen Rathel, Betty Carr, Ida Cropper, Hermon Powell, James A. Jones Jr., Ralph Jones and David Jones; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters; and one brother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Jones Sr. and her son, George R. Powell. A funeral service was held Friday, June 24, 2016, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
