Kenneth Ray Pruitt Jr., 62 Tangier, Va. - Mr. Kenneth Ray Pruitt Jr., husband of Sherlou Faye Kelly Pruitt, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010, in his residence. He was 62. Born September 27, 1947, in Nassawadox, Va., Kenneth was the son of the late Kenneth Ray Pruitt Sr. and Virginia Joyce Bowden Pruitt. He was a waterman and a member of Swain Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Pruitt. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Ann Pruitt of Manassas, Va.; a son, Kenneth Kelly Pruitt of Tangier, Va.; two sisters, Carol Marzahn of Virginia Beach, Va., and Deborah Gay Pruitt of Tangier, Va.; a mother-in-law, Lucille Kelly; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2010, at the Swain Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Patricia Stover, Mr. Strickland Crockett and Mr. William Eskridge officiating. There was a visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at the church. Interment will be in the Sunnyridge Memorial Cemetery, Crisfield. Arrangements by the Williams Funeral Homes, Inc., Parksley and Onancock, Va. Memory tributes may be sent to the family at www.williamsfuneralhomes.com.
