Karen O. Mullins

SALISBURY - Karen O. Mullins died on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, peacefully at her home. Born in Takoma Park, she was the daughter of Donn and Marilynne Gessford Ockert. She was a teacher at St. Francis de Sales Catholic School for approximately 15 years; she also worked at Asbury Child Development Center for two years. She was a private piano teacher. She was preceded by her father, Donn L. Ockert; her mother, Marilynne Ockert; and a brother, Jay F. Ockert. She is survived by her husband, Darrel Mullins; her children, Alyssa L. Mullins, Rena G. Mullins, Victoria F. Mullins and Eric O. Mullins; and four grandchildren. A funeral service was held Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
