PARSONSBURG - Joy L. LeGates died at her home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016. Born in Crisfield, she was the daughter of the late John and Betty Hurley. She was the owner and operator of Petique Pet Grooming in Salisbury. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a baby girl, Melody; and a brother, Bobby Hurley. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Charles W. LeGates; two sons, Charles D. LeGates, of Salisbury and John LeGates, of Salisbury; three grandchildren; three brothers; John, Ronald and William Hurley; two sisters; Melody Banks and Betty McGrath; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at St. John's United Methodist Church in Fruitland. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
