Josie Mae East

SHELLTOWN - Josie Mae Lusk East died Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Coastal Hospice At The Lake in Salisbury, with her family at her bedside. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Byrd Lusk Sr. and Elsie Parks Lusk-Dunn.
She was a Certified Nursing Assistant working in home health care for 35 years. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church, serving with the Women in Action mission group; and many years ago was a den mother in the Cub Scouts and a troop leader in the Girl Scouts and Brownies.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Thomas East Sr.; two sons, Henry Thomas East Jr. of Shelltown, Jack Byrd East of Crisfield; daughter, Teresa Lynn Passen of Parsonsburg; one brother, Ralph "June Bug" Lusk; one sister, Shirley Price; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Flora Murphy.
A funeral service was held Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Pocomoke City. Interment was in the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Pocomoke City. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Pocomoke City.
