SALISBURY - John Timothy "Tim" Chaney, 58, of Salisbury, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2016, at his home. Born in Baltimore he was the son of the late, John and Frances Dempsey Chaney. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Norman H. Whiteley. He was a graduate of Wicomico Senior High School and was a cook for numerous locations in the area. He was an avid fan of the Grateful Dead. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Jensen of Georgetown; sister-in-law, Nanci Whiteley of Salisbury; aunt, Emma Chaney of Arbutus, Md.; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in the Georgetown Presbyterian Church at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home inSalisbury.
