John S. Laird, 81
CAMBRIDGE - John S. Laird passed away on September 2, 2021 at University Medical Center in Baltimore. He was born on May 27, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Marvin Laird and Mary Ballengee Laird.
John graduated from the Ohio State University in 1966. He worked for many years as an electrical engineer for WemCo. He loved his family, sailing, target shooting, collecting "treasures," and talking to his friends.
John is survived by his children, Gyb Stuart Laird of Portland, Oregan, and Ginny Ann Combs of Stevenson, Washington; his sister, Susan Laird of Russells Point, Ohio; and his sweetheart of 14 years, Janice Sutton of Cambridge.
A celebration of John's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1315 Mt. Herman Road, Suite D, Salisbury, MD 21804.
