John H. Hall

CAMBRIDGE - John H. Hall passed away on September 16, 2013. John was born and raised in the small town of Church Hill in Queen Anne's County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He attended elementary and high school in Church Hill. At age 16 he began his college career at the University of Maryland. This was interrupted by WWII when many students were inducted in the Army, after he was discharged, he returned to the University of Maryland to complete his Bachelors and Masters Degree. He began his teaching career at Cambridge High School in Dorchester County. Eventually he became principal of the school. He retired in 1987 after having a wonderful career. John is survived by one sister, Margaret Hall Cook of Bel Air, Md.; and a nephew, William C. Hall, III of Church Hill, Md. Burial was 1:30 p.m., Thursday, September 19, 2013 in Church Hill Cemetery.
