FRUITLAND -- John Henry Collins, 87, of Fruitland, died Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Coastal Hospice At The Lake. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late John Anthony Collins and Margaret Pollitt Collins. He was a former member of the Fruitland Lions Club and the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry. He worked for Delmarva Power for over 42 years and volunteered at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. He was a recipient of a kidney transplant over 27 years ago. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Ann Mezick Collins; two children, John David Collins of Salisbury and Dana C. Wagner of Coatesville, Pa.; three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandchild; a brother, Donald Eugene Collins; and a sister, Jacque Collins. A graveside service was held on Monday, April 18, 2016, at Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
