ELLIOTT ISLAND - John G. 'Glen' McNaughton, 60, of Elliott Island passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Kootenai Health in Kootenai, Idaho. He was born in Cambridge on Nov. 2, 1950, and was the son of the late John Donald and Eva Mae Bayliss McNaughton. Glen graduated from Cambridge High School. He was employed with Spring Associates in Easton. Glen enjoyed fishing and gold panning. He was a member the Gold Prospectors Association of America and a member of Linkwood Salem Volunteer Fire Company. He is survived by two sons, Scotty Jack McNaughton and wife Jenny of Dixon, Ky. and John Peter McNaughton and wife Laura of Dixon, Ky.; two grandchildren, Hailey and John Hunter McNaughton; two sisters, Brenda and Wayne Knowles of Florida and Donna and Larry Anderson of Lewes, Del.; girlfriend, Cathe Broeker of Idaho; and two nephews and one niece. Pallbearers will be Bill Outten, Donnie Vickers, Todd Brandow, Scott Anderson, Wayne Bailey and Greg Kukta, A funeral service was held on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. Rev. Fred Bahr officiated. Interment followed at East New Market Cemetery. Family received friends from 12 to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Linkwood Salem VFC, P.O. Box 66, Linkwood, MD 21835.
