John Ellis Orr II, 21 GREENSBORO - John Ellis Orr II, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009, in the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore. He was 21. Born in Chestertown, John was the son of Gerald D. Orr of Greensboro and Melanie Marie Sharp Parr and her husband, John J. Parr of Fishing Creek. He had lived near Greensboro and was a graduate of North Caroline High School, where he played football. He was currently in his third year of the Pennsylvania School of Technology in Williamsport, Pa. In addition to his parents, John is also survived by one brother, Gerald Orr Jr. of Bethlehem; two sisters, Georgia C. Orr of Denton and Sara E. Smith and her husband, Nathan of Greensboro; a step-brother, Drew Parr of Pasadena; and a step-sister, Deanna Burns of Baltimore County; an aunt, Audrey Ellis Orr of Salisbury; and an uncle, Henry C. Orr of New York and his children, Royce Orr and Paige Orr. A funeral service was 2 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2009, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second St., Denton, MD 21629, where friends called from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday evening. The interment was in the Old Trinity Church Cemetery, Church Creek. In lieu of flowers, the family requests for friends to send memorial donations to the Caroline Counseling Center, P.O. Box 10, Denton, MD 21629.
