Jennie M. Nossick

EAST NEW MARKET - Jennie M. Nossick went home to be with her savior Nov. 20, 2016 at Talbot Hospice House in Easton. She was born to Milton H. and Melva B. McAllen on Nov. 30, 1929 and lived her early years on the family dairy farm in East New Market. After graduating from East New Market High School, she went to college to gain her elementary teaching degree. She found much joy in educating hundreds of children in Dorchester County during her thirty years of teaching. Jennie married John "Dunc" Nossick in 1952 and together they spent many years enjoying traveling, shopping, and sampling restaurants all over the United States. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, and relaxing on the family farm. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of East New Market where she served in many capacities. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John D. Nossick. She is survived by her son, John "Mac" Nossick and his wife, Diana; two granddaughters, Katie Nossick, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Emily Nossick ,of East New Market. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Sunnyside Alliance Church in Secretary. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sunnyside Alliance Church – Children Ministries, 6010 Sunnyside Court, East New Market MD 21631, or First Baptist Church of East New Market, P. O. Box 64, East New Market MD 21631, or East New Market Volunteer Fire Company, P. O. Box 280, East New Market MD 21631.
