WILMINGTON, Del. - James (Jim) Clough Sr., passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007. He was surrounded by his wife and family.

Born in Wilmington, Mr. Clough was the son of the late Clarence W. and Doris M. (Graves) Clough.

He retired from General Motors after 27 years of service in the Maintenance Department as a painter.

He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his home at the beach, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon H. (Ward) Clough; his four children and their families: Mary and Benny Horseman, James and Pam Clough Jr., Joanne and Michael Moore, Julie and Toby Schlick. He is also survived by seven stepchildren and their families: Patricia and George Barcus, Francis and Carrie Clifton, Robin and Wayne Brittingham, Kathy and Patrick Walsh, Jeff and Terry Clifton, Steven and Peggy Clifton, and Alicia Hall; 26 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and his four siblings - Clarence Clough, William Clough, Harold Clough, and Doris Howell and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Mealey Funeral Home, Limestone and Milltown Roads, Wilmington, where friends and family are invited to visit after 6 p.m. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19713.
