SALISBURY - James "Jim" B. Edmonson, of Salisbury and formerly of Hopewell, Pa., died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at Salisbury Center Genesis Eldercare. Born in Hopewell, he was the son of the late Edgar and Stella Edmonson. He retired from the Local 9 Union after 50 years as a brick mason. He was a member of the Hopewell area Sportsmen's Club. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was also a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church and a very active member of the Cove Lions Club. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Clarice Edmonson; four daughters, Jill Sforza, Doris Reffner, Melissa "Mitzi" Coulson and Jamie Marino; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister, Cloe Shauf; and his brother who was killed in WWII, Joseph Edmonson. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Hopewell United Methodist Church. Arrangements are in the care of Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury.
