MARION — St Paul’s Episcopal Church, located on the corner of Farm Market Road and St Paul’s Church Road in Marion, will be holding the following services during Holy Week, the final week of Lent before Easter.
The Palm Sunday services will be held March 29 at 11 a.m. with Holy Communion and distribution of the palms.
The Maundy Thursday service (April 2) will be held at 6 p.m. with Holy Communion. Immediately following this service will be an Agape Supper. The Agape meal is a Christian fellowship meal. All such meals derive from Jewish and early church meals such as are referred to by St Paul, and they symbolize the unity of fellowship in the love of Christ.
Good Friday (April 3) will be celebrated at 6 p.m. with Holy Communion, which will also include the Stations of the Cross.
On April 5, Easter Sunday, the service will be held at 11 with Holy Communion. The Rev. Michael Lokey is the presiding priest. All are invited to attend.
