SALISBURY - Helen Wallace Bloodsworth died on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at the John B. Parsons Home in Salisbury. Born in Dames Quarter, she was the daughter of the late Norman Irving and Bessie Pauline Wallace. She was educated in the Somerset County and moved moved to Seaford, where she worked for DuPont Co. for about seven years. She then moved to Princess Anne, where she raised a family. Later, she worked as an aide at the Salisbury Nursing Home. She is survived by her children, Beverly B. Elzey, Joan M. Sprankle and William V. Bloodsworth Jr.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy L. Hill and Betty A. Taylor; a brother, James Wallace; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" Vance Bloodsworth; her brothers, Orville Wallace, Norman Wallace, Robert Wallace and Irving Wallace; and sisters, Bessie Pauline Wallace, Dorothy Wallace Andrews and Elva Wallace Thomas. A funeral service was held Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Burial was in Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
