CAMBRIDGE - Glendora Marie Jones departed from this life on April 27, 2012, at her home. She was born March 23, 1958, daughter of Nora E. Perry and Orville F. Perry. She was educated in the public schools of Dorchester County and Delaware. She was employed at Black and Decker in Easton, Md. and Hi-Tech Plastics in Cambridge, Md. She was married to Leroy Jones, Sr., who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Lawanda Matthews. Glendora was a very joyful and pleasant person to be around. She was Vice President of the Usher Board of her church, Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. Her memories will always be cherished by her mother, Nora E. Perry; her father, Orville Perry; two sons, Anthony Jones and Leroy Jones, Jr., both of Cambridge; two daughters, Jacqueline Jones of Laurel, Del. and Sherrill Jones of Seaford, Del.; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Doris Ann Matthews, Jacqueline Copes, Marcia Perry, all of Cambridge, and Priscilla Perry of Florence, S.C.; four brothers, Mark Matthews of Kokomon, Ind., Allen Matthews, Henry Leak, both of Cambridge, and Naham Perry of Princess Anne; one uncle, Charles Davis; seven nieces, seven nephews and other relatives and friends; a special cousin, David Hyland; and a special friend, Patty Ennals. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 524 Race Street, Cambridge, Maryland. The funeral service will be Saturday, May 5,2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 839 Park Lane, Cambridge, where friends may also call two hours earlier.
