CRISFIELD - Gladys P. Evans "G" went home to be with the Lord on Friday Dec. 21, 2018 at Alice B Tawes Nursing home.
Born in Cameron, Louisiana on June 25, 1950. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Irene Peshoff and the fourth born of sixteen children. Jane Whiteman, Kathy Navarre, Connie Peshoff, Robert Peshoff, Sharon Peshoff, Randy Peshoff, Pam Hall, Daniel Peshoff and his twin brother who was deceased at birth. Also deceased are David Peshoff, Judy Boudreaux, Deanna Jordan, Ronald Peshoff, Larry Peshoff, Walter Wilson Peshoff Jr.
She is survived by her children, Vickie Evans and husband Glenn; son, Keith Stewart and wife Esmeralda; step-son, Lance Stewart; Laurie Ann Miller, Whom she referred to as her 2nd daughter; six grand-children, Daric, Julie, and Justin Evans, Trystan, Brycen, and Sebastian Stewart; two great-grandchildren, Ezrah and Coralyne Bourque; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and two very special friends, Mary, and Kathy Jackson.
Gladys was once known as one of the best net repair women around. She later went into food and nutrition where she managed Subway and school cafeterias in Northumberland co, Va., and Woodson Elementary in Somerset County, and dietary at McCready Health. She was fully dedicated to whatever she was involved in, which lead to several perfect attendance and other awards given by her employers. She was always full of life and very entertaining. To know her was to love her. She loved her family and referred to her daughter as her best friend and her grandchildren as her heart.
Per her wishes, a service will be held at a later date.
