G.H. Edward Walden, 92
EAST NEW MARKET - G.H. Edward Walden died December 8, 2022, in Easton MD. Ed was born in Baltimore to Robert R. and Myrtle S. Walden.
He graduated from Ridley Park High School and Penn State University with a Chemical Engineering Degree. Ed completed ROTC and was commissioned into the U.S. Navy serving 8 years. His career in manufacturing, sales, and marketing took him to Pennsylvania, New England, and California. He married Joanne Morris and was later divorced. Upon retirement, he moved to Dorchester County, building his dream home on the Choptank River. Ed's hobbies included traveling, sailing and photography. He was active in the Hurlock Lions Club, serving as newsletter editor for many years.
Ed was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Smith; and longtime friend, Anne (Sugar) Parr.
He is survived by his niece, Denise Smith, and her family from the Pacific Northwest.
A celebration of life will be held in the Spring.
