FRUITLAND - Amy Rebecca Fenner Deal died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, at Salisbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Salisbury. Born in Creswell, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Moses Fenner and Lena Littlejohn Johnson.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Salisbury, where she served on the Health Ministry. She retired from TidalHealth Peninsula Regional as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was also a Private Sitter/Caregiver.
She is survived by three daughters, Lena M. Deal, Charletta Deal and Amy F. Deal; two sisters, Erla E. Beale and Margo Palmer; a special niece, Michelle Trader; the father of her children, Charles Deal Jr.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Trader; and three brothers, Moses Fenner Jr., John C. Fenner Sr. and Samuel Phelps.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at First Baptist Church Family Life & Cultural Center in Salisbury. Interment followed at Green Acres Memorial Park in Salisbury.
Arrangements are in the care of Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home in Salisbury.
