CAMBRIDGE - Geraldine V. Tubman, 84, died Monday, May 26, 2008, at the Ruxton Health in Denton.
Born in Cambridge, Ms. Tubman was the daughter of the late Ernest Tubman and Eva Lee Tubman. She had lived in Cambridge and Dorchester County all of her life. She retired in 1990 as a Teacher's Aide in Dorchester County.
She is survived by one son, Ernest Tubman of Cambridge; one daughter: Wendy Wilkins; several nieces: Lucinder Whittington and Edna Height of Cambridge, Ardena Tubman and Aseneth Tubman of New York, NY; and one grandchild, Gordon King of Atlanta, Ga.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, in the Union Chapel AME Church Cemetery in Cordtown near Cambridge. There is no public viewing and visitation.
Instead of flowers, the family requests friends to send memorial donations to the Dorchester Hospice Foundation, 3 Cedar St., Cambridge, MD 21613.
The arrangements are by the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. second St. in Denton, MD 21629.
