CAMBRIDGE - Georgia A. Bell, 87, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007 at Dorchester General Hospital. She was born in Bishops Head on Oct. 7, 1920 and was a daughter of the late James and Mossye Morris Bramble.

Mrs. Bell graduated from Crapo High School. On Sept. 29, 1940 she married Ellwood O. Bell who passed away on March 8, 1995. She had worked at Bata Shoe Store, Leggett's, Western Auto and E.S. Hubbard.

She is survived by; two sons, Robert L. Bell and wife Delores of Cambridge and Ronald R. Bell and wife Faye of Hurlock, six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a sister, Rhoda Startt of Preston; a brother, Melvin T. Bramble of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Bell is preceded in death by two brothers, Morris and Edward Bramble.

Pallbearers will be: Jeff Bell, Bobby Aaron, Robert Bell, Jr., Lance Bramble, Jamie Bramble and Carl Hughes.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with the Rev. George W. Wheatley, Jr. and the Rev. Pardee Bramble officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.
