SALISBURY - George Edward Chevallier, Jr., 72, of Salisbury, died at home on Thursday, March 3, 2016. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late George Edward Chevallier, Sr., and Josephine Elizabeth Disharoon Chevallier. A graduate of Goldey Beacom Business College, he was a past president of the Wicomico County Historical Society. He worked for over 28 years and retired in 2003 as a Purchasing Agent for Nanticoke Seafood. He was best known as the foremost historian for Salisbury. He is survived by two sons, Michael Chevallier of Tyaskin and Jason Chevallier of Salisbury; a stepson, Christopher Helms of Bivalve; two granddaughters; a sister, Barbara Bailey of Salisbury; and several nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Interment followed at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
