SALISBURY - George Russell Adrion died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, he was a son of the late Gordon Murray Adrion and Ruth Edna Kelley Adrion. In his early years, he worked as a waterman. He owned and operated Coastal Truck Inspections in Quantico and Quantico Small Engine Repair. Throughout his career, he also worked for Bennett Construction, Meadows Hydraulics, Robert L. Messick and Frances Whittington Trucking. He was a mechanic and truck driver. He is survived by two daughters, Holly Giza and Amy Adrion, both of Salisbury; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, Kara Taylor; brothers, James Adrion of Tyaskin and Oliver Adrion of Salisbury; a sister, Julia "Judy" Dashiell of Salisbury; several nieces and nephews; and Jean Bennett, the mother of his youngest daughter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Holland Adrion. A funeral service was held Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Interment was in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
