NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. - General Lee Palmer, 62, passed away March 22, 2012, at Haven Hospice, Edison. He was born in Washington, D.C, and has resided in New Brunswick, since 1967. He also formerly resided in Cambridge, Md. He worked as a brake inspector at Amtrack, Penn Station, N.Y., for 21 years. He was a former member of Franklin Park Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pernell Palmer; parents, Beauford Palmer and Lillian Jordan; and three brothers, Ledogie Palmer, Price Palmer, and Ed Willie Palmer. He is survived by two sons, Jonathan Palmer of Edgewater Park, and Nathaniel Palmer of New Brunswick; three grandchildren, Aniah Fennie, Jayvon Palmer, and Mercedes Palmer. Services will be 1 p.m., today, March 30, 2012, at Anderson Funeral Service, 201 Sandford St., New Brunswick, where a viewing will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, North Brunswick.
