SALISBURY - Gary Granville Pusey, 64, of Meadow Bridge Road in Salisbury, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at his home with his family by his side. Born March 13, 1950, in Salisbury, he was the son of Peggy Jean Shockley Pusey of Salisbury and the late Granville Upshur Pusey. He graduated from James M. Bennett High School in 1968. Shortly after high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force Reserve. At the age of 19, he went to work for Cavanaugh Ford selling automobiles. A few years later, he founded Gary Pusey's Quality Cars in Fruitland. Active in this community throughout his entire life, some of his accomplishments and memberships include: Trinity United Methodist Church in Salisbury, Zion Cemetery Perpetual Fund, original Pastoral Board Member at PRMC, Independent Automobile Dealers Association, MD Towing and Recovery Professionals, Moose Lodge 654, Red Men's Lodge 149 and the Crisfield American Legion Post 16. Gary enjoyed boating immensely, especially trips to Tangier Island where he met his wife, Lisa. Spending time on their boat, "Car Biz", was the highlight of his off-time. This was his favorite place to be with Lisa. In addition to his mother, he survived by his wife, Lisa Gail Pusey; three sons, Dean D. Pusey, Dale D. Pusey and Tim P. Pusey; two stepchildren, Lewis Wheatley and Patricia "Trisha" Wheatley; six grandchildren; and a sister, Connie Vick. A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Salisbury. Interment was at Zion Cemetery in Eden. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
