SALISBURY -- Frances Eleanor Lancaster, 91, of Salisbury, died at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury on Sept. 3, 2015. Born in Delmar, she was the daughter of the late Dorsey Lee and Pluma Webster Cropper. She attended Delmar Maryland Grammar School and graduated from Delmar Maryland High School in 1941. She sang with many of the entertainment groups for the servicemen on the shore while she worked at the DuPont Co. until her marriage, when she traveled with her husband. She was a member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Salisbury. She is survived by a special daughter-in-law, Martha Lancaster; a grandson, one granddaughter; two great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" E. Lancaster in 1955 and her son, Charles "Chuck" Lancaster III in 1995. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Jane Cropper Ewell of Salisbury and Mary Anderson Kring of Deal Island; and a brother, William H. Cropper of Delmar. A graveside service will be held at Memphis Memorial Park in Memphis, Tenn., at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
