EASTON - Evelyn June Henry Tucker, 77, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at William Hill Manor in Easton.

She was born on Aug. 15, 1929, in Preston, the daughter of the late Levin James Henry and Christina Schevel Henry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence F. Tucker on Jan. 14, 1994.

Mrs. Tucker was a cashier clerk for Harmony Markets for over 30 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 70, an active member of the Federalsburg VFW Post 5246 Ladies Auxiliary, and a past member of the Preston Board of Elections. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and reading.

She is survived by five daughters, Constance Fletcher of Denton, Barbara Ortt of Easton, Katherine Bullock of Preston, Christina Tryon of Louisville, Ky., Susan Andrew of Federalsburg; a son, Kevin "Scott" Tucker of Easton; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Lord of Seaford, Del., Martha Hopkins of Easton; a brother, William Henry of Cookeville, Tenn. and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Baer, and a brother, Levin J. Henry Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Rev. Alan Kieffaber officiating. Inurnment will follow at Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans" Cemetery in Hurlock.
