Evelyn Giordano

SALISBURY - Evelyn Giordano died Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Wicomico Nursing Home. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Bell and Priscilla Bell Hitch.
She traveled with her husband during World War II and the Korean Conflict, living a good bit of time in Kentucky and Louisiana. During her lifetime, she worked at the defense plant in Salisbury, Manhattan Shirt Factory, Selby's Store, the Hecht Co., Fashion Shop and K-Mart. She raised chickens and was in business with her husband for ten years as the owners of Big Joe's Tavern, now the Village Inn in Parsonsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Biazzio "Bill" Giordano Sr. in 1977; her sister, Eva Powell; brothers, George, Earnest and Vaughn Bell, all of Salisbury; and her son, Tony William Giordano of Emporia, Va., in 2007.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie McMichael-Andrews of Salisbury; and son, Biazzio Giordano Jr. of Delmar; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
