SALISBURY - Eugenia "Jeanie" Ann Hancock died Monday, June 18, 2018, surrounded by family at home. Born in Delmar, she was the daughter of the late Walter Venables and Augusta Wenisch Venables. She was a member of St. Thomas the Disciple Anglican Church in Salisbury, where she served as secretary, lay reader and in the altar guild. She was also a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Delmar. She worked for 20 years for the U.S. Postal Service in the Lutherville-Timonium area, retiring in 1983. She is survived by two sons, Norman E. Hancock Jr. of Tyaskin and James W. Hancock of Virgin, Utah; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Hancock Sr. in 1977; and two sisters, Hazel Venables and Doris Hearn. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery in Delmar.
