MARDELA SPRINGS - Elsie Alice Killmon, 75, of Mardela Springs, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Clifton Lee Laird and Elizabeth Carrie Bloodsworth Laird. A member of the Athol Baptist Church in Mardela Springs, in her younger years she worked for Perdue Farms. Later she worked as a sitter and nurse for the elderly. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Marvin Lester Killmon Sr.; four children, Teresa Milligan of Eden, Marvin L. Killmon Jr. of Crisfield, Pansey Lemon of Mardela Springs and Robert L. Killmon of Eden; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Edna Mae Green, Linda Wodkins, Dorothy Jones and June Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Laird and Clifton Laird Jr. A funeral service was held Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was at Springhill Memory Gardens near Hebron.
