Elois Virginia Blades Reynolds, 84

PRINCESS ANNE - Elois Virginia Blades Reynolds, 84, died Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Manokin Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born February 22, 1924, Down the Neck near Crisfield, she was the daughter of the William Henry Blades and Dosha Susan Parker Blades. Her husband, Robert Ray Reynolds, died December 15, 2006.

Mrs. Reynolds was a full-time homemaker for her family. She was also the chair for the American Cancer Society's fundraising efforts in Somerset County for more than 40 years.

She is survived by her three children, Jetta Jean Reynolds, Jerry Bruce Reynolds Sr. and Richard Douglas Reynolds Sr. and his wife Tammi, all of Princess Anne; grandchildren, Jayna Rae Jackson of Dunn, N.C.; Lyndi Beth Rosetta of Mt. Vernon, Heather Susan Carroll of Laurel, Del., Jerry Bruce Reynolds Jr. of East New Market, Richard Douglas Reynolds Jr., Jackie Wheatley, Jill Ross, Tyler Ryan and Walt Baker, all of Princess Anne; seven great-grandchildren and nine nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. At Mrs. Reynolds's request, her body was donated to the State Anatomy Board. Her ashes will be scattered at Perryhawkin Christian Church Cemetery with her husband.
