SALISBURY - Ellen Marie Curtis died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. Born in Ogden, Utah, she was the daughter of the late Alfred David Young and Erma Lucille Ross Young. She enjoyed volunteering at Health South for many years and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Stephen W. Curtis; stepson, Paul Curtis, Sr.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, David Young, of Illinois; a sister, Kay Minor, of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life and party were held Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at Immanuel Baptist Church. Arrangements are in the care of Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury.
