Humphreys SALISBURY - Ella Virginia Owens Humphreys died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Quantico, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Carlton Taylor and Ola Mae Bailey Taylor. She worked for many years as a secretary for the law firm of Vaughn Richardson and Bud Anderson. She was a lifetime member of the Quantico United Methodist Church and was a certified lay speaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Owens; second husband, Edward Alpheus Humphreys; and a brother, Richard Taylor. She is survived by her son, John Allen Owens of Cambridge; and two grandchildren. A funeral service was held Friday at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.Interment followed in Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury.
