CAMBRIDGE - Eleanore M. Lephew, age 53, of Cambridge, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake, Salisbury, Md. Ellie, as she was affectionately known, was born on Oct. 17, 1957, in Hampton, Va. Ellie was a home health provider for most of her life. She is survived by three children, Teresa Crowell, Jenny Lephew and Benjamin Lephew, Sr.; her companion, Walter Kersey; a sister, Rita Elliott and her husband Mike; a brother, Richard S. Crowell, Jr.; twelve grandchildren, Kayla Johnson, Branden Johnson, Meranda Spencer, Carmen Spencer, Timmy Spencer, Sr., Clayton Spencer, Leigha Spencer, Lee Spencer, Jazlyn Lephew, Benjamin Lephew, Jr., Jena Lephew and Kirstin Collins. Preceding Ellie in death were her parents and a brother, Shawnn M. Crowell. Ellie was cremated and a memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 17, at Curran-Bromwell Funeral Home, P.A., 308 High St., Cambridge. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Jay Hurley.
