Eleanor McNeal

SALISBURY - Eleanor M. McNeal died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at University of Maryland Medical Center. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lula Hobbs. A member of Bethesda United Methodist Church for over 70 years, she was an alumni of Memorial Hospital in Wilmington and worked as a nurse at Peninsula Regional Medical Center until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, O. Richard McNeal in 2004; and a twin sister, Evelyn Rose She is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. Wilgus, of Salisbury; son, Richard E. McNeal, of Centreville; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. . A Celebration of Life was held at Bethesda United Methodist Church; interment was in Springhill Memory Gardens. Arrangements are in the care of Bounds Funeral Home.
