Eleanor Lecates

SHARPTOWN - Eleanor Mullin Lecates, 86, of Sharptown, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, at Wicomico Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late William "Hampy" Owens and Elsie Marie Owens. A lifetime resident of Sharptown, she was a lifelong member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She worked at the Wicomico County Board of Education and later retired from Peninsula General Hospital. She is survived by her sons, Bernie Mullin of Forest Hill and Barry Mullin of Sharptown; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bernie Mullin Sr. and Melvin Lecates; daughter, Sue Ann Brittingham; and nephew, Bernie Cline. A graveside funeral service was held Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. Arrangements are in the care of Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury.
