Eleanor Hall Conway

WILLARDS -- Eleanor Hall Conway, of Willards and formerly of Hebron, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Oaksville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Robert Hall and Susie Miles Hall. Her husband, Otis Conway Jr., also preceded her in death. She attended and received her Bachelor of Science Degree at the Maryland State Teachers College in Bowie, Md, and her Master of Education Degree at Salisbury University. For 47 years, she was an Educator and Vice Principal of the Wicomico County Public School System, namely at Prince Street Elementary, Glen Avenue Elementary, Westside Primary, Westside Intermediate and Fruitland Primary schools. A member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Salisbury, she was also a member of the Bowie Alumni Association and Retired Teachers Association, and former member of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Beta Tau Chapter. She is survived by two daughters, Vickie Conway Shockley of Parsonsburg and Pamela M. Conway of Lakewood Ranch, Fla.; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Arrella Griffin. A funeral service was held Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
