EDEN - Eddie James Adkins died with his family by his side on Aug. 7, 2016, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Ralph Adkins, and was preceded in death by Andy L. Campbell, a special father who raised him. He served in the U.S. Army and over the years worked as a truck driver and was employed by several different companies including, Reynolds Excavating, Perdue Inc., Pine Country Logging, Paul M. Jones Lumber Co. and Sealtest of Salisbury. He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 654. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Campbell, of Salisbury; sons, Eddie Tindle and Raymond Hill, of Salisbury; daughter, Marquita Olavaria, of Silver Spring; sisters, Teresa Brock, Yolanda Wheatley, of Mardela Springs and Elizabeth Moore, of Salisbury; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a special companion, Barbara Adkins; and several nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles. A funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was in Parsons Cemetery.
