SALISBURY - Dwight Webster Watson died Wed., Oct 12, 2016, at Coastal Hospice at the Lake. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Mack W. Watson and Hattie L. Rider Watson Dutton. A member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10159, American Legion Post No. 145, Military Order of Cooties Pup Tent No. 27, Prince Hall Lamech Lodge No. 30 F. & A.M., and Disabled Association of Veterans. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Maryland Army National Guard. He was employed by the Maryland State Highway Administration and later Shore Transit. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Price Watson; his stepfather, Daniel D. Dutton; two daughters, Dwitena Watson and Victoria L. Watson; two stepsons, Lloyd Price Jr. and Scott Price; four stepdaughters, Shawntay Townsend, Delphine Morris, Denise Sampson and Lisa Wright; four brothers, Sharnel A. Horsey Sr., Tony Wynter, Vanlin Horsey and Jamie Horsey; five sisters, Maxine Faye Watson, Karen Ward, Kimberly Dutton, Karen Jones and Illease Davis; two grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, David M. Dutton. A funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church in Quantico. Interment followed at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. Arrangements are in the care of Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home in Salisbury.
