Collins, 39 HURLOCK - Dwayne "Wayne" Collins departed this life on Tues., July 30, 2013 at the place that he loved the most, home. Dwayne was born on Aug. 18, 1974 at the Dorchester General Hospital in Cambridge, Md., and attended Dorchester County public schools. He was the son of Margaret Aldridge Jones, and James Herbert Collins, III. "Wayne", as he was lovingly known by his family and friends was a true outdoors man. He had a love for hunting and fishing that was only surpassed by his love of raising dogs. Wayne touched many lives in his short time here on earth. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving parents Margaret Aldridge Jones of Hurlock, and James H Collins, III (Betty) of Cambridge; a grandmother, Lillian C. Collins of Federalsburg; his seven children, Aaron C. Lumford, DeAisha F. Collins, Hannah D. Lumford, Grace E. Lumford of West Palm Beach, Fla., Destiny C. Aldridge of Baltimore, Demia P. Macer, and Donavan M. Macer of Hurlock; four siblings, James H. Collins, IV, Genelle C. Collins, William L. Collins, and Rondre Sampson of Hurlock; two step brothers, Tony Johns, and Darnell Johns of Easton, Md.; ex-wife, Tonya W Mitchell, and three step sons Calvin J. Wilcox II, Kevin L. Wilcox, and Antonio M. Murray II that he loved as his own. He had four great grandchildren, seven nephews, four nieces, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and special friends Dionysus Butler, Sr., Jessie Smith, and Tromayne Robinson, and a loving God daughter Jocelyn Wilson. Wayne was preceded in death by a brother Vincent L. Aldridge, his maternal grandparents Melvin Aldridge, Sr., and Josephine Aldridge and stepfather, Robert L. Jones, Sr. A viewing will be held on Fri., Aug. 9, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Hurlock. Services will be Sat., Aug. 10, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church-Preston where friends may call 1 hour prior. Condolences to www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com.
