Drs. Kearney, Nagy join McCready Foundation

CRISFIELD — The McCready Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of Kevin C. Kearney, MD to its staff. Also announced, David J. Nagy, a board certified anesthesiologist has joined the hospital’s surgical team, partnering with Sidney Barnes, MD, and others.

Dr. Kearney, a board certified gynecologist will initially be seeing patients at McCready on Thursdays. Additional days will be added as the practice grows.

A native of Ireland, he received his medical degree from the National University of Ireland, School of Ireland. He completed his internship, residency and fellowship at Johns Hopkins University. His certifications include the Educational Commission of Foreign Medical Graduates and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Kearney is licensed to practice in the state of Maryland and the Republics of Ireland and South Africa.

Dr. Kearney has had a prestigious career locally and internationally for over four decades. In addition to a busy private practice in Salisbury for 27 years, he traveled to several South African countries providing ob/gyn health care. He has been on staff at several Eastern Shore hospitals including a yearlong stint at McCready in 2003-04. He has held numerous leadership positions and published several articles on fetal development. He resides in Salisbury with his wife and they are the proud parents of four grown children.

Dr. Nagy received his medical degree as well as completed his internship and residency from Indiana University. He was also a resident at the University of South Florida. Dr. Nagy is licensed to practice in the state of Maryland.

Most recently, he was a staff anesthesiologist at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. In his 22 years of experience, he has also been on staff at Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore and Columbus (Indiana) Regional Hospital. He has conducted research on chemotherapy and immunology and leukemia and is a published author of several articles on pain management and cancer drug therapies.

“We are very pleased to have the opportunity to bring Dr. Kearney and gynecological services back to the Crisfield area,” said McCready CEO Joy Strand. Ms. Strand also stated that she is pleased to have “someone with Dr. Nagy’s experience” join the hospital’s surgical team.
