EASTON - Dorothy M. Johns, 54, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, at her home.
Born July 21, 1952, in Milford, Del., she was the daughter of the late Dewitt H. M. Johns and Dorothy M. Johns of Hurlock.
From 1974 until her retirement in 2000 due to illness, Ms. Johns had a career with the Talbot County Public Schools. She served as teacher, assistant principal, principal and supervisor of pupil services.
Ms. Johns attended St. Matthew United Methodist Church and was actively involved in the community serving on a number of boards and committees.
She is survived by a sister, Rose Pinder of Columbia; two brothers, Ronald Johns (sister in-law, Cathy) of Nashville, Tenn. and Herbert Johns of Temple Hills; a niece, Dontrell Pinder and nephew, Donald Pinder, (both of Upper Marlboro; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceding Ms. Johns in death were her father, Dewitt Johns; her mother, Dorothy Johns and brother, Donald Johns
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, at Union Baptist Church with a viewing two hours prior to the services. Burial will follow in Richard"s Memorial Park of Easton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Easton Memorial Hospital Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation Clinic c/o The Memorial Hospital, 219 South Washington St., Easton, MD 21601
Arrangements are being handled by the Henry Funeral Home, P.A., in Cambridge.
