Doris J. Merritt

CAMBRIDGE - Doris J. Merritt, 48, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at University of Maryland Medical Center.

She was born in Derby, Conn., and was a daughter of the late Newell and Lewis Knapp Akley.

Mrs. Merritt attended school in Derby Conn. On March 18, 1977, she married Cecil G. Merritt.

She was a homemaker. Some of her hobbies were knitting and puzzles.

She is survived her husband, of Cambridge; two children, Reuben Merritt and Timothy Merritt, both of Cambridge; granddaughter Patricia Jean Merritt; her mother, Lewis Akley of Seymour, Conn.; and several brothers, sisters, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
