CAMBRIDGE - Doris G. Davis, 81, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2007, at Chesapeake Woods Center.
She was born in Leeds Point, N.J., on June 20, 1926, and was a daughter of the late Edgar and Beulah Leeds Barber.
Mrs. Davis attended schools in Cambridge. On Aug. 2, 1944, she married Delroy W. Davis, who passed away on Oct. 3, 1993.
Mrs. Davis had worked for Leggett Department Store in Cambridge and Phillips Technology Airpax. She was a member of the Dorchester Homemakers.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Jean Brittingham of Cambridge and Patricia Ann Moore of Fort Myers, Fla.; two grandchildren, Sherry Travers and Lonnie Brittingham; a great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Rose Travers; a brother, Earl Barber and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar and Milton Barber.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, with Christopher M. Maddox officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Maryland Veterans" Cemetery near Hurlock.
