SALISBURY - Donna Lisa "Mikki" Palmer died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Boston Owens and Lloyd Kelvin Gerald; and stepdaughter of the late Dr. James Owens.
She attended James M. Bennett Senior High School and matriculated at the former Salisbury State College, now Salisbury University. Her Christian training was received at St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church in Princess Anne. She was also a member of the Fruitland Family and Friends Committee. She was formerly employed with Lower Shore Enterprises.
She was married to David Palmer for 38 years.
Besides her mother and husband, she is survived by two daughters, Candice Polk of Allen and Dana Duncan; stepchildren, Marshika Jones, Devel and Deanna Palmer, all of Salisbury; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Tina Boston, Faye Ortiz Waters and Sherri Miller, all of Salisbury, and Andrea Tindley of Lebanon, Pa.; several nieces and nephew.
Arrangements are in the care of Jolley Memorial Chapel in Salisbury.
