CRISFIELD - Donald Lee Swift died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at McCready Memorial Hospital. Born in Crisfield on Nov. 23, 1927, he was a son of the late Robert and Vernetta Cox Swift. His wife, Mary Virginia Hinman Swift, died Nov. 13, 2006. He worked for the Somerset County Roads Dept. and was a self employed landscaper. He enjoyed working, gardening, and helping others. Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie L. Swift, on Sept. 28, 2012; a brother, George Swift; and two sisters, Frances Johnson and Mabel Dryden. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Terry Troxell, Darlene Hall, Alvinia Lynn Justice, Jerry Swift and Harold Tandy; and many other nieces, nephews and extended family. A graveside funeral service and interment was Monday, Nov. 7, 2016 at 3 p.m. at Sunnyridge Memorial Park. The Rev. Jim Riley officiated.
