Dale Hamilton Martin

SALISBURY - Dale Hamilton Martin died Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Wallace Hamilton Martin and Dorothy Duffin Martin.
He grew up in Fairfax County, Va., and received a Pharmaceutical Degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He served in the U.S. Army for four years as a pharmacist at a medical facility in Virginia.
After leaving the Army, he worked as a pharmacist for 49 years, first at Drug Fair and later at Rite Aid. Upon his retirement in 2005, he moved to Salisbury, where he was a board member of the Mid-Atlantic Radio Control Society Inc., where he built and flew model airplanes.
He was predeceased by his wife, Helga Ingrid Martin, in 2013; and his second wife, Ann Proctor Martin, in 1991. His first marriage to Raedelle Ebhardt Martin ended in divorce.
He is survived by sons, Jerry Setser and Donald Simmons; a sister, Barbara Martin Thacker; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three nieces and a nephew.
A funeral service was held Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, at Bounds Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was at Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron.
