Claudette Anderson Davis

Claudette Anderson Davis, 67

CAMBRIDGE - Claudette Anderson Davis, 67, passed away at her home on Friday, June 6, 2008.

She was born in Cambridge on March 14, 1941 and was a daughter of the late James Medford and Hazel Dodson Anderson.

She attended schools in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1959. On Jan. 25, 1963 she was married to Kenning J. Davis. He passed away on March 21, 1983.

Some years ago she had worked at Engle's Furniture in Cambridge, and later worked at the Home Beneficial Insurance Co. in Cambridge for 30 years until she had retired in 1996.

She enjoyed spending time with her family. Claudette had been in failing health for the past year.

Survivors include a brother, Tommy Anderson and his wife, Peggy Anderson of Cambridge and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, K. J. Davis and one brother, Bobby Anderson.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the Chapel of the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Bahr officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon Tuesday at the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.

W. Delmas Warfield, 64

CAMBRIDGE - W. Delmas Warfield, 64, passed away on June 5, 2008.

He was born on Oct. 11, 1943 at Hudson and was a son of the late Norman J. and Leona Hubbard Warfield.

He fought a long battle with his illness.

Mr. Warfield attended schools in Hudson and Cambridge High School.

On March 30, 1963 he married the former Mary Willey.

He worked for John Tieder's for 45 years.

Mr. Warfield enjoyed bowling, softball and playing horseshoes.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Warfield of Cambridge; a daughter, Sherri Niblett and husband, Tommy of Bucktown; a son, Mike Warfield and wife, Leslie of Cambridge; a granddaughter, Hailey Niblett of Bucktown; a grandson, Chris Warfield of Cambridge and a granddaughter, Taylor Warfield of Cambridge; four brothers, Leroy Warfield, Raymond Warfield, Alvin Warfield and Paul Warfield, all of Cambridge; three sisters, Rachel Cannon of Cambridge, Margaret Warfield of Hudson and Loretta Elzey of Cambridge and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Warfield was preceded in death by a sister, Blanche Sanger.

A Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with the Rev. A. Delmer Willey Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Spedden Seward Cemetery. Family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Warfield, Paul Warfield, Alvin Warfield, Dickie Warfield, Gene Warfield II and Rodney Burton.
